Writing thinking writings
This research first explores the use of a
writing application, designed to represent
the structure and behaviour of humans,
private thinking space. In a series of three
experiments (seven hours of inner dialogue,
a couple communicating through inner
dialogues, and a religious confession
in which a reverend shares his private
space with a confessor) I discovered the
potential of these representations to
act as a self-and social exploration tool.
Looking at writing prediction technologies,
I develop them, and a social space where
people manage their externalised thinking
streams, developing it, share and influence
others streams of thoughts. Cogitos is a
virtual existence of the thinking self that
continues to evolve even after we have
long disappeared from this world.
