Since, in our study, <strong>the</strong> juvenile <strong>rabbitfish</strong> had to compete with milkfish for feedaround <strong>the</strong> feeders, it is likely that better growth could be achieved if S. <strong>randalli</strong> wereproduced in monoculture. Also, <strong>the</strong> commercial feed formulated for catfish was used in <strong>the</strong>pond growth trial, and results from <strong>the</strong> tank culture experiments suggest that production couldbe improved by using a feed with a higher protein content. While <strong>the</strong> pond trial indicatesthat growth <strong>of</strong> S. <strong>randalli</strong> is acceptable for commercial cultivation, attention to pondmanagement, stocking densities, and feeds could result in improved performance.24
