PICBASIC PLUS CompilerIf the EPIC tm option is chosen, you will be asked for the location of its workingdirectory. This needs only to be done once, as the compiler saves the informationpermanently. If EPIC’s working directory changes, then you can alter thesedetails by choosing Options->Change Epic Details.Note :The EPIC tm software must already be installed on your machine. And you mustown the EPIC tm programmer that accompanies it. The LET PIC BASIC editordoes not have the EPIC software built in. It merely allows EPIC to be run fromthe compiler. The Universal programmer is not compatible with EPIC’s software,and EPIC’s hardware is not compatible with the Universal programmersoftware.Another option is that of any programmer of choice.In order for the compiler’s IDE to run the programmer, it must be told some detailsabout it by choosing Options->Change External Programmers details.As in the Epic tm setup, this is required only once, because the compiler savesthe details.The programmer is only available after a successful compile has been carriedout. The programming buttonwill them become unshaded.If the BASIC program is already loaded into the editor and a change in theEPIC’s path or an external programmer is carried out.
