A GIT-3A consists of a gutter-mountedsensor <strong>and</strong> a control enclosure connectedby a 12' 6" (3.8 meter) cable. If the distancebetween the sensor <strong>and</strong> control needs to bechanged, please contact Customer Service.The GIT-3A senses both moisture <strong>and</strong>temperature conditions in the gutter or downspout thus assuring optimum control. Icemelting heaters operate at temperaturesat or below 38˚F (3.3˚C) while moisture ispresent. Operation continues a period of timethereafter to insure complete melting. Whileoperating, the heaters are maintained at anominal temperature of 38˚F (3.3˚C).Line voltage <strong>and</strong> ice melting heater connectionsare located in the control enclosure.The GIT-3A operates from single-phase 120,208/240 or 277 volt supply selected by aninternal jumper connection that is set duringinstallation. It controls single-phase icemelting heater loads of up to 26 amps. TheGIT-3A meets the new NEC Class 2 low voltagerequirement for wet locations. It is bothUL <strong>and</strong> CUL Listed.
