Featuring 14 New <strong>Endeavor</strong> Entrepreneurs<br />
Fourteen new <strong>Endeavor</strong> Entrepreneurs representing eight companies out of a total<br />
of 12 participating companies from Egypt, <strong>In</strong>dia and Turkey were selected at the<br />
2 nd <strong>Endeavor</strong> <strong>In</strong>ternational Selection Panel hosted in Istanbul, Turkey on June 1-3,<br />
2008. Six of these new <strong>Endeavor</strong> Entrepreneur companies were selected from<br />
Turkey, doubling our country portfolio of high-impact entrepreneurs!<br />
<strong>Endeavor</strong> Entrepreneurs will receive access to customized and group support<br />
services from the local and international <strong>Endeavor</strong> network as part of their 18-24<br />
month fellowship.<br />
We would like to congratulate all of the new <strong>Endeavor</strong><br />
Entrepreneurs and welcome them into the <strong>Endeavor</strong> community.<br />

Panelists<br />
Eighteen panelists representing business community leaders from Egypt, Italy,<br />
Jordan, South America, Turkey, UK and USA participated in this two and a half day<br />
event to review candidate profiles, interview candidates based on <strong>Endeavor</strong>’s<br />
selection criteria and deliberate on their opinions. <strong>Endeavor</strong> Entrepreneurs were<br />
selected by a unanimous vote of six assigned panelists who each conduct four<br />
candidate evaluations.<br />
Board members from new <strong>Endeavor</strong> Country operations included: Naguib Sawiris<br />
and Khaled Bichara representing Egypt and Fadi Ghandour representing Jordan.<br />

Entrepreneur Day – May 30 th at Kortel<br />
On afternoon of May 30 th , eMBA summer interns, <strong>Endeavor</strong> Turkey Country<br />
Candidates and 2006-07 <strong>Endeavor</strong> Entrepreneurs were invited to an <strong>Endeavor</strong><br />
Turkey Orientation Meeting followed by a Seminar on Effective Communication<br />
Skills and Talking with Media presented by <strong>Endeavor</strong> Global Outreach & Programs<br />
Manager, Elmira Bayraslı. During the early evening, new candidates were invited<br />
to get to know each other and learn about the experiences of previous years’<br />
<strong>Endeavor</strong> Entrepreneurs during a barbeque hosted at the <strong>Endeavor</strong> Turkey Kortel<br />
office.<br />

Welcome Dinner – June 1 st Yeniköy<br />
On the evening of June 1 st , members of the <strong>Endeavor</strong> Turkey Advisory Network<br />
were invited to meet our local and international panelists, candidates and other<br />
observers and special guests at the home of Suzan Sabancı Dinçer for a Welcome<br />
Dinner to launch the ISP events.<br />
We would like to give special thanks to <strong>Endeavor</strong> Turkey Board<br />
Member, Suzan Sabancı Dinçer, and her family for their gracious<br />
hospitality.<br />
Panel <strong>In</strong>terviews – June 2 nd Sait Halim Paşa<br />
The entire day of June 2 nd was dedicated to Panel <strong>In</strong>terviews of the Country<br />
Candidates at the Sait Halim Paşa Yalı in Yeniköy. Six Panelists were assigned to<br />
a Panel in pairs. Each pair met four Country Candidates in a series of one hour<br />
discussions. There were three concurrent Panels conducted during the day with<br />
Panel A Deliberations conducted in the late afternoon. The whole group was taken<br />
on a sunset cruise of the Bosphorus to relax after an intense day of discussions<br />
and exchange of ideas. The <strong>Endeavor</strong> Turkey ISP was also filmed by Dickie<br />
Pfloker with support from Timur Altop of HMO as part of a documentary which will<br />
be aired during the <strong>Endeavor</strong> Global Gala in NYC this November.

Networking Dinner – June 2 nd Anjelique<br />
<strong>Endeavor</strong> Entrepreneurs from Turkey and other ISP Related Volunteers were<br />
invited to meet our local and international panelists, candidates and other<br />
observers and special guests at Anjelique restaurant in Ortaköy for a Networking<br />
Dinner hosted by <strong>Endeavor</strong> Turkey.<br />

Entrepreneurs for their leadership role in promoting and<br />
supporting <strong>Endeavor</strong> and <strong>Endeavor</strong> Turkey.<br />

Panel Deliberations – June 3 rd Cirağan Palace<br />
Panel B and Panel C Deliberations took place on the morning of June 3 rd at the<br />
Cirağan Palace followed by lunch at the Tuğra Restaurant. During the<br />
Deliberations, feedback and advice for each candidate was also provided by the<br />
Panelists.<br />
Both selected and deferred candidates will participate in follow-up feedback<br />
sessions including an independent meeting with an executive coach from the<br />
<strong>In</strong>ternational Coaching Federation.<br />
Joint Board Meeting<br />
Several <strong>Endeavor</strong> Turkey Board Members met with <strong>Endeavor</strong> Global Board<br />
Members, <strong>Endeavor</strong> Global Co-Founder and CEO Linda Rottenberg and the<br />
Managing Directors of Egypt, Jordan, <strong>In</strong>dia and Turkey to discuss best practices<br />
and explore opportunities for collaboration in regional expansion. Former Board<br />
Member of South Africa, Paul Harris, also participated in this meeting to share his<br />
innovative strategy for supporting <strong>Endeavor</strong> and <strong>Endeavor</strong> Entrepreneurs in South<br />
Africa through a designated angel investment fund and trust.

Ali Babaoğlu where this year’s <strong>Endeavor</strong> Entrepreneur Fellowship recipients were<br />

Selection and Entrepreneur Services including group training on a new<br />
Salesforce.com enterprise tool customized by <strong>Endeavor</strong> Global led by Carlos<br />
Pessoa.<br />
