Anoption for additional 91 City-Trams is foreseen. The vehiclesare based on the proven modularmanufacturing concept of theCologne low-floor vehicle K4000.This allows a considerablereduction in the costs of spareparts and maintenance. Alreadyfrom spring 2002 onwards, thenew K5000 will run on thenorth-south lines of the Colognenetwork thus increasing the passengercomfort significantly.
