The project, which is due to commence in 2007 is set in 27 acres on theoutskirts of St Albans, and will cost £25 million to develop and take two years to complete.The man behind this exciting development is the leading butterfly expert, Clive Farrell, whohas recruited trustees, including Professor David Bellamy, Sir David Attenborough andAlan Titchmarsh.The main attraction will be a biome, with a 100 metre diameter rising 17 metres high, whichwill be home to up to 3,000 butterflies. Outside the dome will be chalk paths and wildflowermeadows to attract British species.
