He is also a three-time MVC scholarathleteselection, received ESPN the Magazine all-district academichonors three times, and was named a United States Track & Fieldand Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) AcademicAll-American in 2008 and USTFCCCA All-District V Academic FirstTeeam selection in 2010. He also received the 2010 MVC Dr.Charlotte West Scholar-Athlete Award and the 2010 MVC EmersonExcellence Award. A three-time team captain and two-timeteam MVP, he twice earned the Indiana State cross country teamLeadership Award while helping Indiana State to two MVC crosscountry titles in his four years. The senior is a three-time memberof both the MVC Cross Country Scholar-Athlete team and the MVCTrack & Field Scholar-Athlete team.
