The <strong>CFP</strong> CertificationCurriculumThe <strong>CFP</strong> Certification Curriculum has been developedcollaboratively between the international FinancialPlanning Standards Board and Financial PlanningAssociation of Malaysia (<strong>FPAM</strong>). It has a core body ofsubjects that are relevant with the necessary depth andbreadth that professionals in the PFS industry areexpected to meet; at the same time country specificrequirements are incorporated into the curriculum.The programme comprises six modules:Module 1: Foundation in Financial PlanningModule 2: Risk Management and Insurance PlanningModule 3: Tax PlanningModule 4: Investment PlanningModule 5: Retirement Planning and Estate PlanningModule 6: Financial Plan Construction and ProfessionalResponsibilitiesThe shortest time frame to complete the programme is 18 months.
