Titchwell Manor, a coastal boutique hotel at Titchwell, near Brancaster, has stunning views across<br />
open marshes to the sea. The former Victorian farmhouse is a smart retreat for those seeking<br />
fine dining in stylish surroundings offering a delightful fusion of modern and traditional values<br />
and furnishings.<br />
Renowned for its superb AA two-rosette cuisine, the hotel has two restaurants. Guests can<br />
choose to dine in either the elegant, candlelit Conservatory overlooking the gardens, or the<br />
informal Eating Rooms and Bar, which has a sea-view terrace for al fresco drinking and dining<br />
on warmer days.<br />
Head chef Eric Snaith uses local produce wherever possible, taking advantage of fantastic local<br />
seafood as well as fine game and meat from local estates. A brasserie-style menu with daily<br />
specials is on offer for lunch and dinner, while a special Tasting Menu is also served in the<br />
Conservatory Monday to Saturday. On Sundays a retro-style Sunday lunch is served in the<br />
Conservatory offering traditional favourites in stylish surroundings.<br />
Accommodation is in 27 bedrooms in the main period house, a cottage or contemporary style<br />
rooms around the aromatic herb garden. For couples seeking a romantic break there is the<br />
detached Potting Shed, an individually designed wooden house with in-room slipper bath and a<br />
private decked patio with views into the garden.<br />
The nearby RSPB Titchwell Marsh nature reserve is a haven for wildlife all year round, while for<br />
golfers there are two championship links courses within easy reach and watersports enthusiasts<br />
can enjoy sailing and windsurfing from Brancaster Staithe harbour.<br />
