Everybody in Costaguana, where <strong>the</strong> tale <strong>of</strong> compatriotsin Europe is jealously kept, knew that it was ‘<strong>the</strong>son Decoud,’ a talented young man, supposed to be movingin <strong>the</strong> higher spheres <strong>of</strong> Society.
