UFO OutdoorHeating DistancesECABDThe efficiency of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) heaters is ratherlow, as they generate long wave radiation. These heaters onlywork well for people seated very close to them, not at any distance.Due to convection, much of the energy disperses withoutreaching those sitting further away. These devices also bearseveral safety risks. People sitting outside in a restaurant orcafé will be disturbed by having a LPG tank next to them. LPGheaters also generate combustion odours. UFO-E and UFO-Iheaters are produced in accordance with the IP34 (Ingress Protection)Safety Classification code. All electrical components areinsulated against water, and the anodized surface, aluminumreflector, and stainless steel interior parts are highly corrosionresistant. Therefore, even if it rains, you can safely use theseheaters outdoors. Please note that remote controlled model isnot intended for outdoor use.The table below contains information regarding the heatingareas and mounting distances for outdoor use of UFO heaters.Because the outdoor heating area will vary depending on geographicalconditions such as outside temperatures and windspeeds, these are given as minimum and maximum ranges.Although the infrared rays of UFO heaters are not affected bythe wind or ambient temperature, people will feel colder in windyweather. When temperature loss is high, more energy is required. Some tests suggest that 150 to 300 watts of energy per squaremeter (15–30 Watts/sq. ft.) is enough to efficiently heat outdoorswith a UFO.UFO-E Outdoor A B C DEMax in terms of height2.0 m 2.5 m 3.0 m 3.7 m1200-1300W 4-8 m 2 1.8 m (max. 2.0 m) 2.3 m 3.0 m 4.0 m 3.0 m - - -1400-1550W 5-10 m 2 1.8 m (max. 2.2 m) 2.7 m 3.0 m 4.0 m 3.0 m - - -1800-2000W 6-12 m 2 1.8 m (max. 2.5 m) 3.1 m 3.5 m 4.5 m 3.5 m 3.0 m - -2300-2500W 8-16 m 2 1.8 m (max. 3.0 m) 3.9 m 3.5 m 4.5 m 3.5 m 3.2 m 2.8 m -2900-3200W 10-20 m 2 1.8 m (max. 3.7m) 4.5 m 4.0 m 5.0 m 4.0 m 3.7 m 3.2 m 2.8 mNote: The values in cells B, C, and D in the table above were determined in a windless environment.
