RAIL TRANSPORTATION SERVICE PROVIDER RULESSECTION CITEM 279SPLIT PICK UP (SPU) OR DELIVERY (SDL)For SDL, see Item 71 and for SPU, see Item 73 in Section B, Part II of this publication.ITEM 281STORAGE OF VEHICLES (SVS)This item sets forth mandatory requirements applicable to TSP when computing chargesfor storage of vehicles (SVS).1. For vehicle(s) stored in or on the premises of the railroad that are held for delivery orany other reason directly attributable to acts of the consignee, the consignee will beallowed 48 hours free time at destination or at an intermediate stopoff point, toremove vehicle(s) from railroad premises or order that the vehicle(s) be delivered.2. Vehicle(s) held on railroad premises at origin without billing instructions will beallowed 48 hours free time to tender the vehicle(s) for shipment.3. Free time will be computed from first 12:01 AM following notification thatvehicle(s) is available, excluding Saturday, Sunday and holidays.4. After free time expires, SVS(1) $_______ per vehicle will be assessed for each 24-hour period or fraction, including Saturday, Sunday and holidays, until vehicle(s) isremoved from railroad premises. SVS shall not apply when detention charges, Item253, in this section, are applicable.ITEM 283TENDERING OF MULTIPLE VEHICLES (TMV)This item describes provisions a TSP will follow when computing charges for tendering multiplevehicles (TMV).1. For multiple vehicle shipments, all vehicles must be delivered to TSP ramp within 48hours after the first 12:01 AM after tendering the first vehicle, except incircumstances where the delay is due to a force majeure situation.2. Any portion of multiple vehicle shipment that is received at a TSP ramp later than 48hours after the first 12:01 A.M. after tender of the first vehicle will be subject to anadditional charge of TMV (1) $_______ for each 24 hour period in excess of 48hours occurring before tendering of the final vehicle at TSP ramp.
