As a general rule, the maximum weight that can be hauledlegally, without permits, is 45,000 (including cargo loaded on lowboy equipment), 80,000 lbsgross, to include weight of tractor and trailer.ITEM 121OVERDIMENSIONAL AND OVERWEIGHT PERMIT CHARGESCharges.1. Overdimensional Freight Service (520) will apply only to truckload shipments. Linehaultransportation charges will be based on the applicable truckload charge (rate qualifiers PLand PM), highest truckload minimum weight applicable to the equipment loaded by theshipper, or actual weight if in excess of the minimum weight, and accompanying truckloadrate.2. All relevant charges directly related to overdimensional/overweight freight shipments,including costs of any special permits toll charges will be included as part of the negotiatedrate or Spot Bid.
