Useful informationabout FuturaSignal +Congratulations with your new Futura-Signal + pulse counter!This leaflet tells you about the electronic pulsecounter, the type of meter which we just havefitted on your water installation. The leaflet alsocontains information about how to reduce yourwater consumption – for the benefit of the environmentand your budget.Pulse CounterFuturaSignal + is a pulse counter; and is part ofthe total recording of consumption in a building.It records data (pulses) from up to 4 meters, typicallywater-meters, electric-meter and calorimeter/radiatormeter etc. It does not necessaryhave to be meters of the same type. Each meteris connected with the pulse counter at separatechannels.ComponentsFuturaSignal + consists of two main components:• A cabinet containing the pulse countingdevice itself.• A connection box to which the cables fromthe consumption meters are connected.NetworkFuturaSignal + is applicable in systems transferringdata to the BrunataNet. In this case thepulse counter is part of the total recording ofconsumption in a building. The network ensuresan early warning in cases of abnormal consumptionor error functions.Stand-alone remote counterFor meters to which access is difficult the pulsecounter can be used as a stand-alone remotecounter. A handheld computer ensures a safeand quick reading.ProgrammingFuturaSignal + must always be programmed soit complies with the consumption meters connected.As standard, programming is carried outduring the installation by means of a handheldcomputer. However, ordering a pre-programmedpulse counter is also possible.Easy-to-read displayFuturaSignal + has an ‘easy-to-read’ display. In total, data for52 log periods are stored, corresponding to datafor 26 months.If FuturaSignal + is exposed to attempts at tamperingor other damage, this is also recorded inthe memory together with information on dateand time.The allocator recordings are checked in connectionwith the annual reading and when residentsare moving in or out. The many stored measurementsalso make it possible to evaluate if exceptionalenergy consumption is caused by badconsumer habits, failures in the heating systemor inadequate insulation of the building.The annual heat consumption is stored in the allocator’smemory for ten years.Use water with considerationUse water with consideration for the environment:• Turn off the water when you are doing thedishes. Use a washing-up bowl.• Rinse the vegetables in a bowl.• Do not defrost food under running water.• Use the shower instead of the bath top. Youcan easily save approx. 100 l. per bath.• Take short showers.• Turn off water when you soap.• Install a mixing fitting with a thermostat anda water reducing showerhead.• Install a perlator in the taps. It mixes air intothe water, thus saving water.If the FuturaSignal + registers units even thoughthe water is turned off, this may be due to a leakypipe. In this way, the pulse counter can helppinpoint faults and inexpediencies in the waterconsumptionsystem.Meter no. comprises the four unique channelnumbers.
