L03AB Interferons<br />

The <strong>DDD</strong> <strong>for</strong> pegfilgrastim is based on the declared amount of<br />

filgrastim <strong>and</strong> on the use of one single dose per cycle of<br />

chemotherapy. The <strong>DDD</strong>s <strong>for</strong> the other G-CSFs are based on daily<br />

dosing <strong>for</strong> six subsequent days.<br />

Peginterferon alfa-2b in combination with ribavirin <strong>and</strong> peginterferon<br />

alfa-2a in combination with ribavirin are classified in L03AB60 <strong>and</strong><br />

L03AB61, respectively.<br />

L03AC Interleukins<br />

The <strong>DDD</strong> <strong>for</strong> interferon alfa is based on the treatment of chronic<br />

active hepatitis B, whilst the <strong>DDD</strong> <strong>for</strong> interferon beta is based on<br />

the treatment of multiple sclerosis.<br />

The <strong>DDD</strong>s of interferon beta-1a is based on i.m. administration.<br />

L03AX Other immunostimulants<br />

The <strong>DDD</strong> <strong>for</strong> tasonermin is based on single dose treatment.<br />

L04 IMMUNOSUPPRESSANTS<br />

Immunosuppressants are defined as agents that completely or partly<br />

suppress one or more factors in the immunosystem.<br />

L04A IMMUNOSUPPRESSANTS<br />

This group comprises immunosuppressants excl. corticosteroids.
