This group comprises special protectives against UV-radiation.<br />

D02BA Protectives against UV-radiation <strong>for</strong> topical use<br />

Derivatives may by included in each plain 5th level.<br />

D02BB Protectives against UV-radiation <strong>for</strong> systemic use<br />

The <strong>DDD</strong> of betacarotene is based on the treatment of patients with<br />

erythropoietic protoporphyria.<br />

D03 PREPARATIONS FOR TREATMENT OF WOUNDS AND<br />

ULCERS<br />

Topical preparations used in the treatment of wounds <strong>and</strong> ulcers, e.g. leg<br />

ulcers, are classified in this group. Protective ointments are classified in<br />

D02A - Emollients <strong>and</strong> protectives.<br />
