This group comprises all antihypertensives which cannot be classified in<br />

groups C02A-D, C02L, C02N, C03 - Diuretics, C07 - Beta blocking<br />

agents, C08 - Calcium channel blockers or C09 - Agents acting on the<br />

renin-angiotensin system.<br />

C02KA Alkaloids, excl. rauwolfia<br />

C02KB Tyrosine hydroxylase inhibitors<br />

C02KC MAO inhibitors<br />

C02KD Serotonin antagonists<br />

C02KX Other antihypertensives<br />

Sildenafil is classified in G04BE, even though some products are used<br />

<strong>for</strong> treatment of pulmonary arterial hypertension.<br />

The <strong>DDD</strong>s are based on treatment of pulmonary arterial<br />

hypertension.<br />

C02L ANTIHYPERTENSIVES AND DIURETICS IN COMBINATION<br />

All substances classified in groups C02A-K, in combination with<br />

diuretics are classified in this group. At each 5th level, various<br />

combinations containing e.g. different diuretics, other antihypertensives<br />

or potassium may occur.<br />

Combinations with beta blocking agents, see comments under C07.<br />

Diuretics in combination with calcium channel blockers are classified in<br />

C08.<br />

Diuretics in combination with ACE inhibitors, are classified in<br />

C09BA.<br />
