<strong>Tubex</strong> <strong>Netguard</strong><br />
<strong>The</strong> <strong>Tubex</strong> <strong>Netguard</strong> <strong>is</strong> a <strong>mesh</strong> <strong>net</strong> <strong>offering</strong> <strong>effective</strong> <strong>protection</strong><br />
against animal browsing. Made from resilient, high density,<br />
polyethylene, the <strong>Tubex</strong> <strong>Netguard</strong> <strong>is</strong> selected for its performance<br />
and environmental acceptability.<br />
<strong>The</strong> <strong>Tubex</strong> <strong>Netguard</strong> <strong>is</strong> supplied in pre-cut pieces that can<br />
be formed around the tree and fastened using <strong>Tubex</strong><br />
releasable ties.<br />
<strong>Tubex</strong> recommends the use of two <strong>Tubex</strong> releasable ties<br />
for the attachment of the guard to a stake, as well as a<br />
smaller ratchet tie for closing the rim.<br />
<strong>The</strong> <strong>Tubex</strong> <strong>Netguard</strong> can easily be installed around larger<br />
trees or shrubs, unlike some pre-formed <strong>net</strong>s, which have to<br />
be installed over the top of the plant.<br />
A tree guard (<strong>net</strong>) does not provide growth benefits of<br />
a treeshelter or offer <strong>protection</strong> from herbicides.<br />
Hints and tips<br />
Provided in pre-cut form or complete rolls, both of<br />
which require more installation time than a solid tubex<br />
shelter<br />
For growth benefits and herbicide <strong>protection</strong> consider<br />
a<strong>Tubex</strong> treeshelter - such as the <strong>Tubex</strong> Standard<br />
Use a well-driven quality stake to a soil depth of at least<br />
30cm (possibly deeper in cultivated soil)<br />
