They includeMr. Yigal Ariha, Hagit and HanielRodrigues-Garcia, Miriam Jacobi andSmadar Izakts. She is the sister of MasonBernstein and the granddaughterof Simone and Larry Rosenbloom,Renee Bernstein, and David and PamBernstein. Her hobbies include soccer,basketball, lacrosse, going to camp,piano and skiing. For her MitzvahProject, Samantha volunteered forthe Jumpshots for Jordan BasketballTournament to raise moneyand awareness for bone marrowtransplants, and she also raised moneyfor Yad BÊYad.In appreciation to Alexander HarrisonThe <strong>Beth</strong> <strong>Tfiloh</strong> family wishes toacknowledge the generous legacy giftof Alex Harrison zÊl and express ourappreciation to his family.Alex Harrison was a kind and caringman who cared as much about his<strong>Beth</strong> Jacob family as he did for hisown family. AlexÊs step-son, ArthurSatren, lovingly recalls his warmrelationship with his step-father andremembers him as a natural teacher,and a guiding force in the family.Alex was deeply committed to hiswife Anita, and he made a tremendousimpact on his immediate family andhis extended <strong>Beth</strong> Jacob family.Alex Harrison was a devotedmember of <strong>Beth</strong> Jacob Congregationand its Brotherhood for 50 years. Hiswife, Anita, joined him after theirmarriage in 1967. Alex loved going toShabbat and Yom Tov services, to beamong his long-time friends.Following his graduation fromGeorge Washington University Alexworked in criminal investigations forthe Internal Revenue Intelligence andMedicare Fraud Division, and laterworked for the Maryland State Policein Special Investigations. He alsoserved in the U.S. Air Force Reserve,retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel andwas a life member of the AmericanLegion, Jewish War Veterans, VFW,Maryland Law Enforcement Association,NRAas well as a32nd DegreeMason.Alexwas thebrother-inlawof Mr.and Mrs.RaymondZilber.RaymondZilber served as the ExecutiveDirector of <strong>Beth</strong> Jacob for many years.As an expression of his love anddevotion to <strong>Beth</strong> Jacob, Alex lefta generous bequest to benefit theCongregation.
