The number of exceptional studentschoosing <strong>Morehead</strong> <strong>State</strong> for its quality academic programs continues to increase eachyear.HOW TO APPLY FOR <strong>SCHOLARSHIP</strong>S<strong>Morehead</strong> <strong>State</strong> makes it convenient for students to apply for scholarships in two ways:Academic Achievement Scholarships are automatically given consideration based on thecompleted Undergraduate Admission and Scholarship Application and submitted transcriptand test scores. Complete the Undergraduate Admission and Scholarship Application formonline at www.moreheadstate.edu/admissions, or obtain an application from EnrollmentServices or the counselor’s office of your school.All scholarships, including scholarships funded by private endowments, <strong>University</strong>departments, Office of Athletics and student organizations, available for both newand current students, can be found in this guide. If any scholarship requires a separateapplication, it is included here.ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT <strong>SCHOLARSHIP</strong>S PRIORITY DEADLINE – MARCH 15The priority deadline is March 15, 2008, for a completed application packet, including:- Completed Undergraduate Admission and Scholarship Application form; and- Seven semester high school transcript; and- ACT (or SAT) test scores. Students who have not reported test scores by this date mustby March 15 provide proof of test registration (your ACT order confirmation) for the April12, 2008 national ACT test date and have those scores reported to MSU to be givenconsideration.The Office of Enrollment Services should receive your completed application packet by theMarch 15 priority application deadline to best compete for these attractive scholarships.As all scholarships are subject to availability of funds and these attractive scholarships arehighly competitive, students should apply as early as possible to ensure consideration.OVER-AWARDSFederal regulations restrict the total amount of funds for which students may be eligible.Students who receive more than the amount for which they are eligible from all sources,including grants and scholarships, may not receive the full value of their scholarships if itwould result in an over-award situation.<strong>SCHOLARSHIP</strong> RENEWALSScholarships that may be received for more than one academic year may have academicand/or campus housing requirements that must be met to continue to receive thosescholarships.
