The rubber parts are made of EPDMcompound.Perfectly balanced impeller: Because the impeller is molded, each of the flutes is uniform in thickness and shape givingperfect balance. The impeller is lightweight, which reduces load and wear on the engine crankshaft bearing. Thisgreatly reduces the problem of bearing wear, which causes seal oscillation and failure.We have reversed the seal! The rotatingportion of the seal (ceramic section) islocated in the impeller. The carbon faceand spring section is located in the rearpump case bracket and does not rotate.For additional seal protection, small vanes are molded in to the back sideof the impeller. During operation, these vanes (on the back side of theimpeller) pump out a major portion of the liquid from the seal area whichreduces pressure. The internal operating pressure of the pump is approximately50 P.S.I.
