The ChancellorW. THOMAS MOLLOYO.C., Q.C., B.A., LL.B.Mr. Molloy was born and raised in Saskatoon andis a <strong>University</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Saskatchewan</strong> graduate(B.A., LL.B., 1964). He has practised law inSaskatoon since graduation and is with the ÞrmMacPherson Leslie & Tyerman. Mr. Molloy hasrepresented the Government <strong>of</strong> Canada as theChief Federal Negotiator in the successfullyconcluded treaties in Nunavut and with theNisga’a in British Columbia and for an Agreementin Principle with the Sechelt Indian Band. He presently represents Canada intreaty negotiations in British Columbia, Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia,Prince Edward Island and Nunavut, and has been described as “Canada’s mostexpert treaty negotiator.”Mr. Molloy is author <strong>of</strong> The World is our Witness: The Historic Journey <strong>of</strong> theNisga’a into Canada, which was awarded two <strong>Saskatchewan</strong> Book Awards,The Brenda MacDonald Riches First Book Award and the Non-Þction Award,sponsored by the <strong>University</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Saskatchewan</strong>. Mr. Molloy has also beenrecognized for his work in the community, receiving the City <strong>of</strong> SaskatoonCertiÞcate <strong>of</strong> Distinguished Community Service, Rotary Golden Wheels Awardfor Excellence, Saskatoon B’nai Birth “Proud <strong>of</strong> You Award,” and the Head <strong>of</strong> thePublic Service Award for Excellence in Service Delivery.In 1996, he was made an <strong>of</strong>Þcer <strong>of</strong> the Order <strong>of</strong> Canada, and in 2000, theU <strong>of</strong> S Alumni Association awarded him the 2000 Alumni Honour Award.
