GB 4.3 Firing of signalling ammunition
To fire signalling ammunition or flares, load the weapon as described with
BLANKS.
Attach the discharger (additional screw-on barrel) by screwing it onto the barrel. Load
a round of signalling ammunition into the discharger, the open (black) end of the case
has to be inserted first - never insert it upside down! Make sure the discharger is
always well cleaned! When discharging the weapon, hold it vertically above your
head. We recommend the use of personal protective equipment consisting of ear
defenders and protective shooting glasses (fig. 11).
The flash of the blank ignites the flare which will rise into the air.
If it is intended to fire signalling ammunition from this weapon, than only the following
components must be used:
1. the signalling ammunition to be fired must be suitable for being fired with blanks
calibre 8mm K, see manufacturer's instructions, and
2. only use the discharger marked "UMAREX" which is supplied with this weapon.
Never fire the weapon horizontally!
Never aim the weapon at animals or humans! Only use it in the open!
Make sure your shooting area is clear and that there is sufficient distance to
inflammable objects!
To fire flares, we recommend the Multi-Shooter. It will allow for the simultaneous
discharge of 4 flares. (special accessory, fig. 12).
CARTOUCHES A BLANC. Dévisser la rallonge de canon (godet) UMAREX "I".
Introduire la munition de signal avec le bout de douille ouvert (noir) en premier dans
la rallonge de canon (godet) toujours nettoyée ; jamais à l'envers ! Lors du tir tenir
