Age, Job Level, <strong>and</strong> Education Inter-Relationships<br />

In both Guangzhou <strong>and</strong> New Zeal<strong>and</strong>, age is significantly negatively correlated with<br />

level <strong>of</strong> education; younger subjects tend to have a higher education level than older<br />

subjects. Position (job level) is negatively correlated with age in Guangzhou <strong>and</strong><br />

positively correlated with age in New Zeal<strong>and</strong> (This may be an artefact <strong>of</strong> the younger<br />

truncated sample in Guangzhou). The correlations between education <strong>and</strong> job level are<br />

not significant. See Figure 5.34.
