Housing isnot guaranteed; if you do not receive a confirmation letter, please contact the housing <strong>of</strong>fice. Ifyou send a fax, please follow up to confirm receipt.Dormitory at <strong>Rudolf</strong> <strong>Steiner</strong> <strong>College</strong>Please note our new Dormitory Housing Policy: Two- and three-week program participantsneed to reserve their accommodations by the deadline <strong>of</strong> May 1. Short-term housing (less thantwo weeks) will be accommodated and confirmed after May 1. All applications will be processedin the order they are received.Each air-conditioned unit has four single-occupancy and two double-occupancy rooms, twoshared bathrooms, and a shared kitchen/living room area. Each unit sleeps a maximum <strong>of</strong> 8.people. Only guests assigned to the room can spend the night. Cots are not available and there isno sleeping bag space. Linens and towels are provided and the kitchens are equipped with basiccookware and utensils, but there are no c<strong>of</strong>fee makers, blenders, or microwaves.Check in at the housing <strong>of</strong>fice located in the rear <strong>of</strong> the campus. Dormitory rooms will beavailable by 4pm. You will receive further check-in information with your confirmationletter via e-mail. Please read all materials carefully as these provide information on how toaccess your key from our after-hours key box if you are arriving late. If you do not receive theconfirmation e-mail, please request it to be resent from the housing <strong>of</strong>fice.Children on campus and in the dorms: This summer, no one under the age <strong>of</strong> 18. will bepermitted to stay in the dorms. Children cannot be left unattended at any time on campusduring the summer. This policy exists for the comfort <strong>of</strong> all our guests and for the safety <strong>of</strong>your children.Housing in Private Homes (HiPH)This option is on a first come, first served basis as it is limited. We <strong>of</strong>fer as many HiPH optionsas possible that are within walking distance (1 mile or less) from campus. If walks <strong>of</strong> thisdistance are difficult for you in the summer heat (our temperatures can reach 100˚F and more inthe summer), we recommend having a bicycle or automobile available.Each HiPH option has different amenities, therefore it is important that you call your host todiscuss any personal needs or concerns. If any issues arise, please contact the housing <strong>of</strong>ficeimmediately in order to secure an alternate arrangement. Once you have checked into a host’shome, it is not possible to for us to refund your payment. Please take this into consideration.CampingNo camping is allowed at <strong>Rudolf</strong> <strong>Steiner</strong> <strong>College</strong> or Sacramento <strong>Waldorf</strong> School. This includesall sleeping bags, tents, campers, RVs, and sleeping in your own personal vehicle. <strong>The</strong> closestlocal campsite to our campus is the Folsom Lake State Recreation Area, (http://parks.ca.gov/),and is located approximately 10 miles away from campus.NEW! Online Housing ForumThis summer we have an online housing forum at www.steinercollege.info/Housingforum.Our summer guests can register on this site and access it in order to ask questions, findinformation, and coordinate group hotel sharing, group car rentals, and airport shuttle plans.This is a service that we are <strong>of</strong>fering to you free <strong>of</strong> charge. We cannot be responsible for yourprivate information on this insecure site, so only provide information on this site that you arecomfortable sharing with others.Hotel ReservationsPreferred Hotel<strong>The</strong> Holiday Inn is located at 11269 Point East Drive, Rancho Cordova, CA 95742. You can setup reservations by phone 916-635-4040 or 8.00-315-2621, or by using the appropriate web portaladdress (listed on our online registration page or by requesting the link from the <strong>College</strong> housing<strong>of</strong>fice). <strong>The</strong> hotel is 3.7 miles away from the <strong>College</strong>.
