These devices commutatefaster and with less voltage spiking than any otheranalog switch presently available. By comparison,discrete JFET switches require elaborate drive circuitsto obtain reasonable performance for hightoggle rates. Encapsulated in a four pin TO-72package, these units require a minimum of circuitboard area. Switching transients are greatly reducedby a monolithic integrated circuit process.
