RSDF - Description and constructionEXHAUSTO Dilution Fan RSDF offers capacitieswhich cover domestic and multiple commercialinstallations with a heat input up to 450 kW.• Specially designedOur Dilution Fans are designed to work withheating appliances burning gas or oil. The fansare constructed with an inner casing of stainlesssteel. The fail-safe system consists of apressure differential switch and a flow measuringsystem. The fail-safe system complies with BS6644: 1991 and IGE/UP/10.• Low energy consumptionThe fan’s very low energy consumption is due tothe high efficiency backward-curved impeller andfully speed adjustable motor. The impeller alsoensures a stable and low noise performance.• Easy access for serviceEasy access for service asthe motor is placed outsidethe airstream. The motormounting plate enablesaccess for servicing of theduct or the impeller.• Low noiseLow noise is a keyword for the design of theRSDF. The fan is therefore supplied with ananti-vibration system for ceiling mounting, andflexible connections are also available as anaccessory.• Condensation drainThe fans are prepared to allow mounting of acondensation drain, which is supplied with theproduct.RSDF - Capacity ChartsThe capacity charts are measured at a flue gastemperature of 35°C. The fan capacity changes withtemperature of the flue gases. Correction of systempressure loss for a flue gas temperature different from35°C is calculated:Ps, 35 = Ps, t x273 + t (°C)308RSDF - Fail-safe system and fan selectionFail-safe systemThe fan has a flow measuring system meeting therequirements of BS6644: 1991 and IGE/UP/10. Whendesigning the system, we have paid great attention tothe ease of adjusting the commissioning setting. Therefore the flow system guarantees a CO 2 levelbelow 1% in the discharge complying with theClean Air Act.Each fan is supplied with a diagram showing the flowsetting based on total heat input of the installation.Fan SelectionPlease use the EXHAUSTO fanselection chart on page 4, orcomplete an appraisal form.EXHAUSTO offer a free fanselection service. The correct fanand control unit are calculatedaccording to BS6644 andEN13384.2
