System Wiring DiagramsOne Mobile Receiver/Controller and OneStandard-Def DVRComponents Required• Splitter Kit, KVH P/N 72-0177• Destacker, Dual-output, KVH P/N 19-0410• The special DC block (40V) splitter included inthe Splitter Kit permits communications betweenthe antenna and the primary receiver/controller.A standard off-the-shelf splitter will not work.Recording Limitation• Since the mobile receiver/controller controlssatellite selection, the DVR can record anychannel that is carried on the currently selectedsatellite; however it cannot record a channel thatis carried on a different satellite. For example, ifyour mobile receiver/controller is tuned to achannel on the 119 satellite, you would not beable to record a program on the 101 satellite. Youwould need to switch to the 101 satellite on themobile receiver/controller.Why Do I Need a Dual-output Destacker?• The output of the TracVision antenna is a specialstacked signal, which the mobile receiver/controller is configured to decode. Since all DVRsare configured to decode unstacked signals, adual-output destacker is needed to convert theantenna’s stacked signal into two unstackedsignals.• Adual-output destacker is required becauseDVRs, such as TiVo, have two unstacked inputs,whereas standard receivers have only one input.54-0376A.17
