<strong>Job</strong> <strong>Title</strong>:<strong>Nursing</strong> <strong>Assistant</strong> <strong>Instructor</strong><strong>Job</strong> <strong>Description</strong><strong>Department</strong>: Corporate and Continuing EducationDate: November 2011FLSA:Exempt - Non-ExemptOverview of position in this area.Position provides direct instruction to NA students and will provide all state-regulatory required instructionin accordance with SPCC faculty policy. Will maintain all compliance-related documentation as may berequired.Responsibilities:• Maintain accurate and appropriate student, instructor, and course, and program documentation.• Interact with clinical sites to ensure that policies and procedures specific to the sites are beingfollowed.• Advise Director as to required supplies as needed for the programs.• Ensure that all forms necessary for placement of students on the NA Registry are completed andnotarized in a timely manner.• Keep current with information and skills in teaching field.• Teach classes in both counties each semester as needed.• Conduct research and surveys to determine current effectiveness and future needs; preparereports on these.• Willingness to work nights/weekends as needed and duties require.• Assist in recruiting and registering students.• Work cooperatively with all directors and staff.• Take part in applicable skills training.• Pursue a development plan that provides for personal and professional growth throughparticipation in professional and community activities.• Assist with the administration of training programs in accordance with South Piedmont CommunityCollege policies, internal audit procedures, rules, and regulations.• Assist Directors and Vice President in the development, delivery and maintenance of programs andstrategic partnerships• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Nurse <strong>Assistant</strong> Program.Minimum Qualifications:• Associates degree, Bachelor’s degree preferred.• Current, unencumbered NC license as Registered Nurse.• Proficiency in all MS Office products.• Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills.• Personal and professional integrity which communicates a sense of mission, leadership, andability to self-start.• Committed to providing quality customer service.• An uncompromising commitment to student learning through the college’s mission, vision,values and the delivery of instruction.• Committed to providing quality customer service.• Willingness to learn the continuing and community education concepts, processes andpractices of the N.C Community College System.• Experience in identifying problems, creating innovative solutions and managing projects.
