The integrity of design and construction makes it mechanically superior incomaprison to other designs, structurally sound and ensures ease of operation.Design engineers and end users have specified this design in thousands of applications globally due to thefollowing:Double Eccentric DesignDouble offset disc allows the seal to disengage immediately on opening reducing seal wear.DiscA streamlined disc profile provides smooth flow and ensures low pressure drop. Disc is designed forstrength and deflection and to eliminate possible flutter.Body Seat RingSpecifically profiled all s/steel seat ring to reduce opening and closing torque and to ensure drop tightclosingDisc SealResilient disc seal positively retained to prevent seal roll out even in arduous operating conditions. Inaddition, the seat is of a single piece design that is replaceable with the valve insitu.BearingsLiberally sized self lubricating thermoplastic spindle bearings are used to reduce shaft friction andoperating torque.Taper PinsDisc is secured to the shaft by stainless steel pins which are specifically sized, to transmit torquesrequired and to withstand stresses imposed, under all operating conditions.Integrity of DesignMaterials of construction utilised in the Premier design is of the highest possible quality relative to thevalve’s cost. Body and disc is constructed in ductile iron as standard and epoxy coated for corrosionprotection. This double eccentric design hasbeen utilised globally in thousands of critical applications and based on its reliability, is one of the mostspecified of all butterfly valve designs.Valves are manufactured as standard with a Music Note seat in aflat disc.
