1Monday 30 th MarchThe Vine Project will be atthe New Horizon Centre (NHC) forthree days. Join them for the big launch of their ENVIROBUS onMonday. A one day extravaganza withartists, music and treats for children. Onall three days they will be offering lowcost reuse items for sale and a ‘bring itand we will show you how to fix it’ service.They’ll share their skills with local peopleand accept good quality furniture forrecycling. Bring your items that needrepairing or drop off goods that you nolonger need. Let’s help break the cycleof ‘use and discard’ of consumer goods.Do you have craft skills that you could share with the community? Areyou a handyperson who could showcase your talent to the community?Then get in touch and join us for this repair-reuse-recycle event. Theparticular skills which will be on show include electrical equipment andgadget repair, sewing, tailoring, dressmaking, upholstery, bicycle repairand arts & craft skills using recycled materials.Tuesday 31st MarchThe Vine Project and their bus will be back at the Centre.Wednesday 1st AprilThe Vine Project is here again.

FREEOutside the NHC, 12pm – 4pmFor adults and children 10yrs and over.archeryforall.co.uk2Wednesday 1 st AprilCommonside’s Sports Day in partnership with HomeStartMerton. All the usual fun and games including skipping, hoolahoops and bean-bag games as well as the Easter Egg and SpoonRace. Outside if weather is nice - inside if it rains. There will also be achance to try Archery (see above).Wednesday1st, 2nd, 7th & 9th AprilFive A Side Easter Football1.30pm - 3.30pm on the 1st then 2.30pm - 4.30pm on allthe other days. £2 per sessionFor 5 to 10 year olds.


3Friday 3 rd AprilIs Good Friday and a Bank Holiday, but the Market will be open asusual. The rest of the New Horizon Centre will be closed.Have a Great Easter Weekend!Monday 6 th April.Is Easter Bank Holiday and the New Horizon Centre & Market will beclosed.Tuesday 7 th April and Tuesday 14th AprilChildren Eating Well (CHEW) with Merton HomeStart10am – 12 noon. Free workshops for children and parents.Clear, up to date advice andinformation on helping pre-schoolchildren eat well. See the sortsand amounts of food to meettheir energy (calorie) andnutritional needs and get somesimple recipes, with details ofportion sizes suitable for childrenat different ages, to try at home.During these sport and healthy eating sessions staff and volunteersfrom the Commonside Trust will be on hand to provide you withinformation about local sports and keep fit activities for families andchildren, and talk to parents and carers about additional activitiesthey would like to bring their children to.


4Also on Tuesday 7 th April‘Fun with Numbers’3pm - 6pm at Pollards Hill Library.For adults 16+. FREETake the Numeracy Challenge and buildconfidence with numbers, moneymanagement and develop skills to helpyour children with their homework. Fun filled event including bingo,Velcro darts and activities to keep the children entertained. Voting slipsare in the NHC Front Office. Thisaward will be made on 23 rd April andis being made in honour of Jenny Hill.OurChampion!


6Saturday 11 th AprilNHC Jumble Sale 1.30pm – 3.30pm.Refreshments on sale. Entry 20p.All money raised will go towards our Lunch Club for Older Peopleand our Step Forward Project for local families. Donations of clothes,toys and bric-a-brac welcomed.
