The programThe <strong>Ventura</strong> <strong>College</strong> <strong>Drafting</strong> Program is designedto provide the critical link between the designengineering process and manufacturing throughthe understanding of design principles, materialproperties, and the manufacturing processes.Students completing the <strong>Drafting</strong> program will beprepared to meet the design and drafting needs ofengineering, architectural, and manufacturing firms.Students will acquire the practical knowledge andskills to successfully enter industry employment or toadvance within their organization.Specialized application of various software programsare taught using current technology and methodsfound in the architectural, manufacturing, and designindustries. Cad software programs such as AutoCAD,Inventor, SolidWorks, Revit and Photoshop are taughtin the program.
