The Air Force has directed all 10 Air Force MAJCOMS be included inthe IGEMS/TIGIRS program, thereby expanding the scope of capabilities to include thenumber of users and the number of inspections by 400.M I S S I O NS u p p o r t s A i r F o r c eI n s p e c t o r G e n e r a l ( I G )i n s p e c t o r s w i t hr e p o r t i n g i n s p e c t i o nf i n d i n g s a n da c c u m u l a t i o n o f r e p o r tf i n d i n g sPROGRAM CAPABILITIESAs a comprehensive inspection tool, IGEMS provides the IG with the following phases withtheir inherent functions and capabilities:• Planning phase• Scheduling inspections• Collecting inspector and augmentee data• Assign inspection items and inspectors to inspections• Inspection phase• Document observations• Write-up vetting process• Daily inspector feedback• Post-inspection phase• Findings process• Trend data• Basic user access to finalized resultsBENEFIT/VALUE TO THE WARFIGHTERIGEMS facilitates analysis and decision support for Secretary of the Air Force/IG (SAF/IG) andMajor Command/IG (MAJCOM/IG) operations. This capability and information is used bySAF/IG and MAJCOMs to produce score carding capability, certification analyses, CommanderDashboard capability, data and interface control between Air Force systems and program andfinancial management functionality.
