John Rice,Vice Chairman of GE; Mark Little, Senior Vice President of GE; MarkHutchinson, President and CEO of GE Great China and Rachel Duan,President and CEO of GE Healthcare Greater China, attended theopening ceremony.On the afternoon of March 28, Mark Little, Senior Vice President andCTO of GE hosted a Town Hall meeting at CIC with R&D employeesfrom GE Healthcare, GE Oil & Gas, and GE Energy. Mark startedby introducing the GE’s history and innovation results, includingglobalization and new reverse innovation model. Meanwhile, healso introduced the “In China, For China” (ICFC) achievements byusing the Brivo CT equipment as an example. “We need to breakdown barriers between business units in GE, and strive to achievemore cross-business innovations. Also, it’s essential to think from thecustomer’s point-of-view to create products, and keep learning andbeing involved in business development,” said Little.On March 29, John Rice, Vice Chairman of GE; Mark Little, Senior VicePresident of GE; Mark Hutchinson, President and CEO of GE GreaterChina and Rachel Duan, President and CEO of GE Healthcare GreaterChina, visited CIC Chengdu. After first stopping at the showrooms ofGE China, Oil & Gas and Healthcare on the second floor of the CIC,they joined the welcome session for the new employees and saidthat one of the greatest things about working at GE is that greatideals are embraced and great ideas are made realities.GE Healthcare also hosted “GE Innovation Week on Primary Care”at CIC. On March 29, more than 130 guests – including regulators,industry association representatives, experts and doctors frommedical institutions, as well as media – attended the Primary CareSummit. The Summit aimed to address new ways to developproducts and services against the backdrop of new healthcarereform to promote primary care development. John Rice and RachelDuan delivered keynote speeches. A strategic Letter of Intentionwas signed at the Summit between the Chinese Medical DoctorAssociation and GE Healthcare China on talent training for thosein grassroots medical institutions and collaboration on the PrimaryHealthcare Training Program.The Innovation Week also included a Design for Value sessionhosted at the Usability Lab Workshop, GE National Forum on PrivateHospitals, Series of Training Sessions, including application trainingson ultrasounds, X-rays and CT scans, and a PS800 workshop andother events.GE CIC Chengdu is a comprehensive facility with a focus on R&D,customer experience, service, training and operations.
