153. TESTS / INSPECTIONContractor has to make all the arrangements for tests / inspectioneither at site or elsewhere at his own cost and expenses. Alsonecessary laboratory tests may be carried out at his own cost andexpenses. However, contractor must use ISI marked materials ormaterials of listed approved make.4. DISCRETION OF GAILGAIL, does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any other tender andreserves the right to accept or reject any / or all the tenders, either inwhole or in part, without assigning any reasons for doing so. The workshall be awarded for the entire scope to a single bidder on lowest costbasis.5. SUBLET OF WORKThe contractor shall not sublet the contract, except with the writtenconsent of the GAIL.6. The drawings, conditions, specifications and schedule of quantitiesforming contract document are explanatory and are complementary toone another representing together with the work/installation to becarried out. In case of doubt, the matter shall be discussed withCompany’s engineer and necessary clarifications obtained. If neitherthe drawing nor the specifications, the schedule of quantities includeany provisions which are absolutely necessary to complete the workas per drawings, the contractor shall provide the same, contained inany one viz (i) the drawings, (ii) the specifications and (iii) theschedule of quantities but not specifically appearing in the other allsuch parts of the contract document and the work shall be executedaccordingly.
