Time Distortion and DistentionSmallridge's sudden transfer across sixty miles ofearthly space might have been caused by a phenomenonknown as apporting in occult lore and teleportation inscience fiction. They turned around andretraced their route, expecting to find the Vidals changinga tire or laboring over the motor. But Dr. and Mrs. Vidalwere gone.Two days later the Rapallini family in Maipu received aphone call from the Argentine consulate in Mexico City—6,400 kilometers away.
