Grape Street Café,
Wine Bar
and Cellar.
Great food and wine in a relaxed
atmosphere. This epitomizes my very
favorite restaurant in Las Vegas… Grape
Street Café, Wine Bar and Cellar. Located
in the heart of Summerlin, far from the
hustle and bustle of the Las Vegas Strip,
it’s no secret to locals. Inspired by the
design and feel of a Napa Valley Winery,
Grape Street has been named by the Las Vegas Review-Journal as
a “Best of Las Vegas” Award Winner and recognized for having the
“Best” in several categories: Wine Bar, Patio Dining, Appetizer and
Dessert.
Grape Street offers some 200 boutique wines, and there are 80
wines by the glass to choose from. The cafe features an interesting,
diverse menu of classic and contemporary dishes. My favorite
appetizers are the mouthwatering baked Brie, a pastry filled with
melted Brie, toasted hazelnuts, caramelized onions and apricot
preserves and the delicious fried calamari with their “secret sauce”.
And that’s just the beginning!
For luncheon fare, they offer a variety of salads and sandwiches
served on homemade French rolls. Their orange chicken, blackened
salmon and steak salads are all very delicious; popular sandwiches
include the Portobello Philly with onions, peppers and smoked
Gouda, salmon
burger and roasted
vegetable.
Grape Street
offers a pleasing
variety of entrees
including Filet
Oscar, Colorado rack
of lamb, Bellon’s
chicken parmesan,
Chicken Marsala,
grilled salmon and
Hawaiian Ahi Tuna.
Delectable Italian
specialties include Chicken Gorgonzola, Bowtie Olivia and Linguine
with clams and in red or white wine sauce and pastas. And they
cook an eggplant parmesan to die for!!!!
Top off a delicious meal with a fabulous dessert. Their sorbets and
profiteroles are made in house.
Grape Street recently celebrated its 14th anniversary and has
become a local’s favorite under the tutelage of Owner/Chef John
McKibben. He still enjoys cooking every day, and he’s often found
walking around the restaurant greeting customers.
Check out Grape Street’s Happy Hour Tuesday through Friday, 3
p.m. to 6 p.m. when they offer specials on wine and appetizers. They
also feature Live Jazz on Fridays, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturdays, 7
p.m. to 10 p.m. Located on 7501 W. Lake Mead Blvd. near Buffalo
Drive, Grape Street is open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through
Thursday and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday. For more
information, visit www.grapestreetcafe.com.
I hope you come to love Grape Street Café as much as I do! See you
next month!!!
