© Military Pharmacy and Medicine18) Tables and illustrations. Number tables consecutively in theorder of their first citation in the text, and supply a brief titlefor each. Give each column a short or abbreviated heading. It isrecommended the simplest possible arrangement of the table,without unnecessary horizontal or vertical rules. Place explanatorymatter in footnotes, not in the heading. The footnotes shouldbe numbered separately, starting with 1 for each table. Explainin footnotes all nonstandard abbreviations that are used in eachtable. Type or print out each table on a separate sheet of paper.Be sure that each table is cited in the text. Tables, Illustrations,Figures, Photographs etc. should be numbered and describedType or print out each Tables, Illustrations, Figures, Photographsetc. on a separate sheet of paper. In the main text shouldbe noted the place of insertion of each Tables, Illustrations, Figures,Photographs etc. The number of tables should be reducedto minimum. Figures (including maps), and photographs areplaced in a separate file(s).If the Figures and Photograph contain text to be translated,the file(s) containing must be editable or author(s) should sendthem in English language.Figures and photographs should be professionally drawn andphotographed; freehand or typewritten lettering is unacceptable.Titles and detailed explanations belong in the legends for illustrations,not on the illustrations themselves. Each figure shouldhave a label pasted on its back indicating the number of the figure,author’s name, and top of the figure. Do not write on the back offigures or scratch or mar them by using paper clips. Do not bendfigures or mount them on cardboard.Figures should be numbered consecutively according to theorder in which they have been first cited in the text. If a figurehas been published, acknowledge the original source and submitwritten permission from the copyright holder to reproducethe material. Permission is required irrespective of authorshipor publisher, except for documents in the public domain. Photographsshould be color or black & white glossy prints with numbersand descriptions on the back, following the pattern: title,authors, number of the photograph, its description. All photographsare printed as standard black and white. You can printphotos in full color, for an additional fee.Photomicrographs should have internal scale markers. Symbols,arrows, or letters used in photomicrographs should contrast withthe background. If photographs of people are used, either thesubjects must not be identifiable or their pictures must be accompaniedby written permission to use the photograph.19) References. In all cases correct punctuation should be used todivide the parts of the reference to the cited position. Becauseof the possibility of modifications or amendments, referencesto materials from Internet should include the file viewing ordownloading date. If there are more than three authors, thenames of the first three should be listed and then „et al.“ shouldbe used. Abbreviated titles of journals cited should be consistentwith MEDLINE.Papers published in journals:12. Measurements of length, height, weight,and volume should be reported in metric units (meter, kilogram,or liter) or their decimal multiples. Temperatures should begiven in degrees Celsius. Blood pressures should be given inmillimeters of mercury.All hematological and clinical chemistry measurements should bereported in the metric system in terms of the International Systemof Units (SI). Alternative or non-SI units should be addedin parenthesis.Identify statistical measures of variations such as standard deviationand standard error of the mean. If you use data from another publishedor unpublished source, obtain permission and acknowledgethem fully21) Abbreviations and Symbols. Use only standard abbreviations.Avoid abbreviations in the title and abstract. The full term forwhich an abbreviation stands should precede its first use in thetext unless it is a standard unit of measurement.10. Sending the manuscriptto the journalAuthors are requested to submit the manuscript in electronic formon e-mails: remirad@o2.pl orhttp://military.isl-journals.com/index.php?/authors/login/Manuscripts must be accompanied by a covering letter signed by allco-authors. This must include:1) information on prior or duplicate publication or submission elsewhereof any part of the work as defined earlier in this document;2) disclose contribution of individual authors to preparation of apublication (with a list of their affiliations); editors make an effortto prevent cases of misconduct (ghostwriting, guest authorship);3) a statement of financial or other relationships that might leadto a conflict of interest (see below);4) a statement that the manuscript has been read and approved byall the authors, that the requirements for authorship as statedearlier in this document have been met.The manuscript must be accompanied by copies of any permission toreproduce published material, to use illustrations or report informationabout identifiable people, or to name people for their contributions.Editors consider the above conditions to be fulfilled if the signatureof the first author was made.11.
