Average annualuse per residential customer was 7,605 kWh at an average cost of 7.29 cents per kWh; operatingrevenues totaled $4.9 million.Between 1994 and 2009, Pike experienced an average increase of 2.2 percent in total sales.Residential sales grew at an average annual rate of 1.7 percent, and commercial sales increase at2.6 percent per year. Over the next five years, total energy demand is projected to increase at anaverage annual rate of 1.3 percent, which includes a residential growth rate of 1.5 percent and acommercial growth rate of 1.1 percent.
