Definitions:A-Frame: Portable open <strong>for</strong> inspection or auction board (sandwich board)Pointer Sign: Fixed signs identifying a Real Estate Agent or indicating by arrow a property <strong>for</strong>saleMatters to consider when applying <strong>for</strong> a Permit:A-Frames must not be more than 0.5 square meters in size and must include the timeopen <strong>for</strong> inspection or time of auction.A-Frames are <strong>permit</strong>ted to be placed on the nature strip. In the event there is no naturestrip the boards must be placed on the kerb side of the footpath not within pedestrianfootpath ramps.A-Frames can only be displayed on the day that the properties are actually open <strong>for</strong>inspection or <strong>for</strong> auction and removed within one hour of completion of the open <strong>for</strong>inspection time or completion of auction.A maximum of 3 A-Frames are <strong>permit</strong>ted to be placed on <strong>Council</strong> land per property <strong>for</strong> thepurpose of directing a person to the advertised property.A-Frames must not be placed on any traffic control device. Eg. Roundabouts, trafficislands, median strips.A-Frames must be weighted down to prevent being blown over during inclement weatherA-Frames must not obstruct or impede the vision of motorists, pedestrians or the generalpublic.No flags are <strong>permit</strong>ted to hang over the footpath. All flags must be contained within theproperty in which they are advertising.Pointer Signs are not <strong>permit</strong>ted to be placed on <strong>Council</strong> land.Items are not to be tied or adhered to or leant against any <strong>Council</strong> fixture or tree.<strong>Council</strong> reserves the right to withdraw a <strong>permit</strong> where there has been a breach of the<strong>permit</strong> conditions or the use of the nature strip <strong>for</strong> the intended purpose is no longer viable.<strong>Council</strong> reserves the right to introduce additional standards in relation to real estate open<strong>for</strong> inspection and auction boards. The conditions under which this <strong>permit</strong> is issued may bealtered during the term of the <strong>permit</strong>.
