Modular kit system
The modular kit system allows to
adapt these TOX ® -tongs to any component
and handling equipment.
Frame and tools
Die
The tongs are mounted on the tongs
frame with a console to the robot arm
(robotic tongs) or mounted stationary
in the line (machine mount tongs).
The tools and frame shape are designed
according to the type of application
and to the shape of the workpiece.
For clinching applications, the
TOX ® punch stripper is always included
with the unit.
Punch and die can be switched in
special models (see below for tongs
with compensating slide).

tongs are delivered complete and
ready to plug in and start working.

drive side. It prevents any undesirable
loads on the workpiece.

The tongs installation plate ZIP contains
the necessary valves, sensors
and electrical and pneumatic interfaces.
Flange mounting and adjustment
The precisely fitting (H7) keyways on
the mounting surface of the TOX ® -Powerpackage
enable an exact alignment
of the drive in both directions
perpendicular to the stroke direction.
The position of the drive can be adjusted
on the mounting surface with the
help of shims and the key.

The unique TOX ® -Powerpackage
with patented end position damping
and power bypass. An energy
saving power cylinder, which combines
the advantages of pneumatics
and hydraulics: the total stroke
is divided into an air operated, low
consumption, fast approach stroke,
and an automatically activated
pneumo-hydraulic power stroke.
While pneumatic cylinders and
many hydraulic systems consume
a lot of energy during the approach
stroke, the TOX ® -Powerpackages
use the power stroke only when
needed.
The TOX ® -Powerpackage type
RZK features a compact design
and direct adjustment of the total
stroke.
The type RZS is a slim design with
external stroke adjustment.

The working cylinder HZ with the
same proven seal technology of the
TOX ® -Powerpackage. Driven by
the pneumatic operated TOX ® -Intensifier
ES, which converts air
pressure into hydraulic pressure.
The approach stroke is hydraulic,
the return stroke pneumatic, an absolutely
reliable system, thanks to
the patented air/oil separation.
The TOX ® -Hydraulic Cylinder type
RZH is available in the versions
RZHL and RZHO. The fluid media
used for the return stroke determines
whether a RZHL (air return) or
RZHO (oil return) should be used.
The Controls – TOX ® -Controls

CE conforming, operator friendly and
safety a priority, with maximum functionality.

Our TOX ® modular kit system allows
you to put together the right TOX ® -
tongs according to your requirements.
The tongs are ready to run with all
connections at the controls installation
plate ZIP. All you need are pneumatic
and hydraulic hoses to the pneumohydraulic
intensifier, and a 24 V multipole
cable for the sensors and/or junction
box.
The weight of the intensifier should be
considered in your weight and handling
calculations for a robot application.
Power to the RZH can be supplied
either by a central hydraulic system or
our TOX ® pneumohydraulic intensifier.
Option: indexing slide type F with
stroke adjustment and pneumatic cylinder.
Large stroke to clear the TOX ®
button or any embossment on the
