Tigerloop ®makes a one-pipe system possible for every type of oil heating installation.The one-pipe system is the most environmentally safe method for transportingoil from the oil tank to the oil burner. A number of Europeancountries have identified the risks associated with two-pipe systems andeven past laws forbidding its use.


Oil heating problems......with gas/air in oilWhen oil is drawn up from the oil tank to theburner large amounts of gas bubbles can be releasedfrom the oil. These gas bubbles are releasedwhen there is a negative pressure (vacuum) in thesuction line. This occurs in almost every installation,but above all when oil must be lifted to ahigher level, drawn through long suction lines orwhen the suction line is too coarse for the neededoil flow. Air can also enter the suction line if allconnections are not 100% tight or if the tank is runempty. The gas/air bubbles flow with the oil into theoil pump and are the leading cause of breakdowns,increased build up of soot, unnecessary wear andtear on the oil pump and higher oil consumption....with two-pipe systemsThe two-pipe system was developed to try and getrid of the gas/air bubbles from the oil pump.A return line pumps the separated gas/air bubblestogether with the unburned oil from the oil pumpback to the oil tank. This, however, does not reducethe amount of gas/air bubbles that flow to thenozzle for combustion, which leads to an air pocketforming between the oil pump and the nozzle. Thisair pocket causes dripping from the nozzle eachtime the oil burner is stopped resulting in increasedsoot build up and poor fuel efficiency. The high flowof oil in the two-pipe system (up to 20 times morethan what is actually used for combustion) leads toincreased dirt/sludge being released from the oiltank leading to clogged oil filters and nozzles. Thepressurised return line in a two-pipe system is thenumber one cause of leak damages. Even thesmallest leak in the return line can lead to terribleenvironmental damages and expensive clean up....with one-pipe system withoutTigerloop®The one-pipe system without a Tigerloop ® is not tobe recommended. This is due to the increased riskof breakdowns as gas/air bubbles cannot be removedfrom the oil pump during operation. Sucha system will only work as long as the oil is continuously100% free of gas/air bubbles. Moreover,it is impossible to automatically de-aerate thesystem during start up or after running the tankempty since a tool is necessary.Creating the optimaTigerloop ® makes a one-pipe systempossible for all types of oil heating installationshelping to ensure environmentalsafety, cost effectiveness and reliability.Effective de-aerationIn an oil heating system using a Tigerloop ® ,all oil passes through the automatic oil deaerator,which effectively removes all gas/airbubbles from the system. This eliminates oilpump and nozzle problems associated withgas/air in the oil.4213Own two-pipe circulationAn oil pump delivers the same amount of oilirrespective of what is actually needed for combustion.In the case of a normal domesticburner, only 5 % of the delivered oil is actuallyburned in combustion. The remaining 95% istransported by a two-pipe system back to the oiltank. With a Tigerloop ® automatic oil de-aeratorno oil needs to be transported back to the tank.The oil that is not burned in combustion is leadback to the Tigerloop ® where it is de-aeratedagain and again automatically. For this reasononly the amount of oil to be burned in combustionis sucked from the oil tank.

Forthis reason very little dirt/sludge is transportedfrom the oil tank. This reduces the risk for cloggedoil filters and burner nozzles. Filtration ismore effective, soot build up is reduced and filterlife is extended.!When converting from a two-pipe systemto a one-pipe system it is important toconsider the dimension of the suctionpipe (feed line).
