Noappointments needed!Harvest Assembly – next Monday! To celebrate harvest time The Food Bank will be coming in to school on11 th October to collect the produce donated by us all, for localdistribution. The Food Bank is designed to help individuals and familiesin crisis, through the provision of emergency food supplies. If you haveyet to contribute and would like to add to our ‘bumper harvest’, pleaseremember there is only tomorrow and Friday in which to donate. Please choose an item/s from this suggested list and send in to schoolwith your child (tins or packets): savoury rice, instant mash, tin rice pudding, sugar, any tinvegetables or fruit, fruit juice (long life), cereal, soup, tin meat or fish, pasta sauce, jam, biscuits, noodles or pasta, tea, coffee, UHT milk.Doubting Thomas! – Hmm!Last week’s newsletter asked that everyone kindly drop us an email confirmingthe newsletter had been accessed and read. Thankfully we had lots of emails (abig thank you to all those parents), but sadly this only came to less than 50% offamilies. This rather suggests that many parents do not read this newsletter…which might explain why messages like ‘no parking’ in the car park seem tomake little difference. We are probably ‘appealing’ to the converted! Anyway, once again a big thank you to everyone who does take the time to catch up withwhat’s going on in school. You will be well prepared for our next stage! For this week only we are sending home paper copies of this newsletter to everyone who didnot reply – if you meant to reply but forgot, it’s not too late!So what is coming next?We plan to continue to help reduce our paper usage by sending home trip letters and otherinformation using ParentMail. Reply slips will still be sent home in a paper copy for you tosign and return where needed, to save you having to print! There will be a message on thetop of these slips, advising that full trip details had been sent home, using ParentMail! The ‘Did you get your post this week? ‘ section at the end of each newsletter will continue as usual. We hope it works for you.ParentMail – Please help us to keep intouch with you via this text message andemail facility. Those families not yet registered will have now received a lilac invitation letter to joinParentMail. Thanks to those who have returned the lilac form…. We thank you forhelping us to save paper.
