From the PrincipalJune 2005Dear Alumni and Friends of Ward,As the school year comes to an end, I would like to thank you for your support. I am including some of the samethoughts to you that I spoke to our parents about in May. We all want what is best for our students and BishopWard. Education is full of challenges on a daily basis for parents as well as educators. Our job is to meet thesechallenges and make what we feel are the best decisions on our student’s behalf. I know we do this more oftenthan not.Graduation went very well. Our seniors did a fantastic job in all areas. They were offered more than 1.3 milliondollars in scholarships. I wish all the seniors the best of luck and hope many of their dreams come true. They nowjoin the ranks of many of you that have walked these halls.Bishop Ward continues to meet the needs of the students in our community and beyond. We see great kids comethrough our doors every day and we continue to seek better ways to meet their needs. This is why all of you are soimportant. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers and continue to help us in our efforts. Please feel free to contact us if we can be of assistance and may God continue to bless all of you.Sincerely yours,Dennis Dorr ’73PrincipalBishop Ward Initiates the“Cornerstone Club” CampaignSince our humble beginning in 1908, Bishop Ward High School has remained a cornerstone in the Kansas City,Kansas Catholic community for almost a century.
