In 2001, the Cityrestored the house, which is open for tours by appointment.O’Fallon Historical Society Log Cabin Museum / Civic ParkBuilt in the 1870’s, the Historical Society Log Cabin contains a display of photographs, relics,memorabilia, rustic furniture and items from the old Wabash Railroad depot. The Museum is open fortours by appointment.O’Fallon Municipal Centre / 100 North Main StreetFormerly a novitiate for women entering the Sisters of the Most Precious Blood convent, and thenlater, a private high school and college, this 1930s building was purchased by the City and re-openedin 1999 as the O’Fallon Municipal Centre.Zumwalt’s Fort / Fort Zumwalt ParkThe City purchased Fort Zumwalt State Park in 1978, acquiring 47.5 acres and the ruins of a frontierhome fort, marked by a limestone chimney. Dames War Memorial / Dames ParkAmong the first in the nation to honor U.S. soldiers killed in the Vietnam War, the Omer J.
