Control is via pin 8 with a correctivesignal on pin 7, in order to achieve an automaticblanking current control. The emitterfollower on the output of the output stagepermits rapid blocking of the cathodes ontransition from bright to blank. This permits thedelaying effects that are otherwise present tobe reduced.The IC's also contain a component for temperaturedrift compensation, as well as a circuitvia which the transient current can be decoupled.Current information is taken from pin5, and so with an additional sensor controlcircuit an automatic blanking value control (cutoff control) can be established.2.9.1 Cut off controlThe cut off control is basically a sensor controlcircuit.
