Technology of Q 2500 colour TV setIn the Q 2500 chassis a family of multistandardsound processors is used, whichcontain all the modules for digital sound/IFprocessing,FM/Nicam signal demodulation,Nicam decoding and audio base band. Themulti-standard MSP 3411 sound processor ismanufactured in 1.0 µm CMOS technologyand incorporated into the Q 2500 chassis in a80 pin PLCC housing.For devices without NICAM an MSP 3400 or3401 is used, which cannot process theseNICAM signals. The MSP 3401 and MSP3411 also support virtual surround.
