However, from 2002 to 2006,the subsector experienced a turnaround with growth in premiums and improved underwriting results (Figure 1.8). Despite thisimprovement, the subsector is still hampered by• poor investment returns – although this has recently improved owing to growth in the equity market;<strong>INSETA</strong> Sector Skills Plan - page 9
