Coachcor, Pretoria. As many as twenty BMC 850 may be in the fleet. <strong>The</strong> bodywork is slightly modified by<br />
Busaf, the BMC agent in South Africa, to suit local conditions and so carry Busaf badging, but are otherwise<br />
indistinguishable from the standard model. <strong>The</strong>y appear to be registered as ERF, a name ‘owned’ by Busaf in<br />
South Africa.<br />

reasons for operators to register vehicles in Johannesburg rather than the Western Cape and the practice is<br />
becoming more prevalent.<br />
Unitrans {Megacoach/Megabus}, Johannesburg. (798-OJ) SRL 351 GP does not carry fleetnumber 2509<br />
(which would indicate that it is a double-decker); it may be 1509. 684 (BGP 684 GP) has been rebodied; it was<br />
new with a less-than-durable Neulux body. 494 (LJW 138 GP), 662 (LRW 985 GP) and 692 (BGP 692 GP)<br />
are also rebodies, probably of Neulux bodywork as well.<br />

Llorente, Madrid<br />
<strong>The</strong>re are about forty urban and suburban operators based in Madrid, forming the Consorcio Regional de<br />
Transportes de Madrid. <strong>The</strong> vast majority of routes are worked by E.M.T. This month we list the fleet of one of<br />
the smaller operators – Empresa Llorente. <strong>The</strong>y operate routes 561-7, most of which start from Aluche in Madrid<br />
and 651-8, all of which start from Moncloa in Madrid.
